There's something I've been noticing, a lot lately.
And as one of the leading marketing and sales expert in dog business world, it needs to be called out with some love and of course some action items for you all, because, I don't want to leave you hanging.
Everything is starting to be regurgitated and watered down. And everyone is screaming louder and louder. To be seen, to be heard, to be liked. Don't get me started on the bro-marketing that's beginning to snake itself in... But, that's a whole other topic for another time.
We need to get you to define and OWN your voice and focus it strategically. And your voice is beautiful.
As a dog trainer. As a dog walker, or pet sitter or whatever you role you fit into.
And I get it. You don't want to reinvent the wheel. If it worked for that person, it would work for you. Or maybe, you don't want to rock the boat too much because you've seen other pet dog professionals get torn the fuck down. Or maybe, just maybe, you're so freaking tired and burnt out.
Guys, listen. You deserve to have a pet business that affords you and your family the life you can only fantasize. And it is possible.
But you need to start stepping into your voice and originality as a professional business owner.
I challenge you to do the exact opposite of what 95% of your peers and colleagues are doing. Sounds counterintuitive, but it is not.
Show up in your branding. THIS IS HUGE
Your brand is much more than a logo. Show up the way you want to be seen, heard and most importantly felt. Be impactful and in alignment; make a statement through your images, your colors, your pictures.
Own and embrace your fucking worth and your skills
There is no honor in being broke or just surviving dog business owner. Just because your worried what your peers or competition might think, doesn't mean you have to keep yourself held back. As Russell Brand said, "What other people think of you is none of your business."
Focus CONNECTION through strategy based marketing
Understand the clients that need you. These clients are looking for you. Listen. Connect.
